If the world quit sinning what would happen? If mankind stopped stealing, murdering and lying, if the gay community went straight and religious zealots stopped blowing people up, surely then God would bless the nations and we could all enjoy a better life, wouldn’t we? The short answer – No!
What we are
A common misunderstanding about sin is that people believe it is exclusively what they do – not so. Sin is just as much about what we are! Sinning doesn’t make us sinners, being a sinner makes us sin. Sin is as much about our actions as it is about our nature. Read more
The work of Jesus is so much more than the work of Adam, and whilst what have today in Christ is outstanding there is so much more to come. Everything God has in Christ is free and to be recived without works.
Grace is not just a doctrine or study topic, it is a part of who God is, His very nature.Because of what Jesus did we will never be separated or rejected by our heavenly Father. Grace means that sin no longer has dominion over us, no matter what others might say. You are no longer under law, you are saved by grace!
Go well my friends 🙂

The idea of the angry God permeates every culture, and if we believe that God is responsible for all the calamities that happen in the earth we could be forgiven for thinking, He is really angry with us.
How we view God will determine how we view the world, our lives and our relationship with Him. This in turn will determine what we think, which will create feelings, mindsets, decisions and all the complexities that make up our lives. But, what if our view of God is wrong, that surely means that our entire life could be out of whack? Read more
Whilst there is no precedence in the New Testament for a clergy laity divide, and absolutely nothing about a separate New Testament priesthood to rule over God’s people, you still need to call the Priest.
You don’t need just any priest
In the Old Testament God raised up the tribe of Levi as priests who would minister to the people on His behalf, and then minister to God on the people’s behalf. This mind set still stands to this day, whether we have a Pope or a Pastor. We are looking for someone to go to God on our behalf.
There is absolutely no point in making any effort to appease God for your sins. The simple fact is you don’t have the right currency and you can’t afford it. The demands for sin are so far out of our league that it is ridiculous to even attempt to satisfy God’s displeasure at our sin. The Scripture is clear, the wages of sin is death, and that bill can only be satisfied with blood. Yet people continue their sensless toil in an attempt to appease God day in and day out.
I hear ministers telling people to attend their church so that God will bless them; or perhaps to give an offering or even to serve more in the church. Other churches say that prayers must be repeated, forgiveness sought and special measures must be applied to a person’s life so that God will forgive them.
The vast majority of preaching I have heard on the fear of the Lord is a legalistic mishmash of confused ideas that bring condemnation, frustration and failure.
If you have been around church for anytime, you will have heard the sermons designed to get a response and scare people into not sinning. Calls for holiness and an end to uncleanness come from the pulpit, unless the Lord be angry and turn away from you. Perhaps the speakers mean well but they are misguided to say the least; after all if it didn’t work for God Himself it is unlikely that we will succeed.
The terror of the Lord
A little while after bringing Israel out from Egypt God tells Moses to have the people prepare themselves for a visitation. Who is coming to see them? None other than Yahweh Himself! The Almighty Creator God was going to visit His people, and when He did it was terrifying in the extreme.
